Yellow Creek’s history

Yellow Creek sits in the parkland of east-central Saskatchewan, northeast of Wakaw on Highway 41, within the Rural Municipality of Invergordon No. 430. The community takes its name from the creek that flows through it.

For a time Yellow Creek was an incorporated village, a status it held until August 15, 2009. It is now a special service area. The area's people are mostly of Ukrainian and Hungarian background.
